Moored in Aomori harbor beside the station, the Hakkoda-maru is a preserved Seikan railway ferry, now a floating museum. Before the Seikan Tunnel opened, these ships carried trains and passengers across the strait to Hokkaido — you can explore the bridge, engine room and nostalgic Showa-era passenger decks.
