Mt. Iwaki, affectionately called ‘Tsugaru Fuji’, is the graceful 1,625 m volcano that towers over Hirosaki’s apple orchards. A skyline toll road and near-summit chairlift make its panoramas easy to reach, while hikers can climb from Iwakiyama Shrine at its base.
