As the seasons turn, central Fukuoka fills with festive lights and events. Around late October, Halloween has become a big deal in the city, especially in the Tenjin nightlife and shopping district, where costumed crowds gather, shops and bars run Halloween events, and a lively, party atmosphere takes over the streets for the night.
