Marine World Uminonakamichi is Fukuoka’s main aquarium, set on the scenic Uminonakamichi sandbar that stretches across Hakata Bay. Its focus is the marine life of the seas around Kyushu, especially the waters warmed by the Tsushima current, displayed in a large tank recreating the Genkai Sea and home to sharks, rays and shoals of fish.
