Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is an enormous national government park spread across the scenic Uminonakamichi sandbar that stretches into Hakata Bay, offering a full day of nature and family fun. Its highlight is the seasonal flower gardens, which blaze with colour through the year — nemophila and tulips in spring, sunflowers and roses in summer, cosmos and kochia in autumn — creating spectacular flower carpets and photo spots. Alongside the flowers, the vast grounds hold a small animal park and petting zoo, a summer water park with pools and slides, wide lawns, cycling paths with rental bikes, and sea views. Right next to Marine World aquarium and reached by a scenic ferry or train across the bay, it is one of the best family destinations around Fukuoka.
