The Mt. Hakodate night view

  • Ride the ropeway (or drive/bus) up Mt. Hakodate at dusk for the iconic night view — the city glows between Hakodate Bay and the Tsugaru Strait.
  • Go ~30 minutes before sunset to catch the “blue hour” and the lights coming on.
