Ogose Bairin, the plum grove of Ogose, is ranked among the finest plum blossom viewing sites in the Kanto region, with roughly 2,000 trees blooming across a hillside grove each February and March. Unlike the more famous cherry blossom season, plum viewing (ume-mi) draws a quieter, more contemplative crowd, and the annual Plum Festival held during peak bloom adds food stalls and local produce stands to the fragrant, pale pink and white scenery.

Tips
