The Shimanami Kaido connects six islands between Imabari (Ehime) and Onomichi (Hiroshima) with five spectacular suspension bridges over the Seto Inland Sea. The views of island-dotted emerald waters from bridge walkways are considered among the most beautiful in Japan.
